Dr Mike Reid is a principal advisor with Local Government New Zealand, the national association of local authorities.  He has published numerous journal articles and contributed to a number of books on the broad topic of local government and governance.  In addition to his work with LGNZ he is working on a local government text book for university students and senior managers.
